Policy
Fundraising activities serve at least two important purposes beside the obvious one of raising needed money for the league. First, it highlights the specific mission and needs of the league. Second, it helps build community within the league.
The North Penn Baseball Association supports fundraising activities that:
Are consistent with the core values of the League program and must clearly benefit the league.
Generate funding to continue, enhance or extend projects and programs, facilities and services of the league.
Funds collected in the name of the league are used solely for league purposes.
In Pennsylvania, monies and or property committed for a charitable purposes under Rule 2156 of the Pennsylvania Rules of Judicial Administration, Pa. R.J.A. No. 2156, and under Section 711(21) of the Probate, Estates, and Fiduciaries Code, Act of July 1, 1972, as amended, 20 Pa. C.S.A. § 101-8815 (PEF Code), 20 Pa. C.S.A. § 711(21). The Nonprofit Law provides that charitable assets may not be diverted from the purposes for which they were donated, granted or devised.
